COVID-19: Spa Policies & Procedures
We have elevated our efforts and incorporated new “best practices” within our spa as recommended by the Center for Disease Control (CDC), State of Washington, Spokane Regional Health District (SRHD) and our franchise partners at Marriott International, amongst others.
New considerations include:
All Davenport Spa Employees are required to utilize protective wear in order to provide a barrier between themselves and spa clients. This includes the use of face masks, gloves, face shields, etc. Implementation of protective wear varies per service.
On-Location Physical Distancing:
Davenport Spa clients must remain a minimum of six feet apart from one another (with the exception of receiving the service from their therapist). The Spa will operate at 50% or less occupancy. Couples appointments will be temporarily suspended. Only clients with appointments (or whom are purchasing products/items in the retail store) will be allowed in The Spa. Clients will check in at the front desk per usual, but we ask guests not to come early or stay late. Our Serenity Rooms will not be open. Guests will briefly wait in the lobby and foyer area until the therapist is ready. Walk-in appointments are not permitted at this time.
For the safety of both our clients and employees, all spa guests are asked to wear a mast at the spa. You may bring your own mask or we are also happy to provide one for the guest. All spa employees will wear masks. All linens and towels used during services will be laundered in accordance with WAC 308-20-110.
Davenport Spa Employees will be required to wash their hands frequently. Spa clients will also be required to wash their hands prior to their service beginning. We will also provide an ample amount of alcohol-based hand sanitizer throughout the spa.
All Davenport Spa Employees must have their fever detected upon arrival of their shift. Temperature must be lower than 99.9 degrees. Spa clients are asked to self-screen at home prior to their appointment. Cancellation fees will be waived in the circumstance of COVID-19 symptoms present prior to arrival.
Davenport Spa Employees are required to thoroughly sanitize spa spaces frequently and thoroughly with hospital-grade cleaning supplies.
COVID-19 Safety Training:
All on-site Davenport Spa providers are trained on the businesses’ policies, these requirements and all relevant sanitization/disinfection and social distancing protocols. Current and new employee-service providers will also be trained about COVID-19 and how to prevent its transmission.
